We received this tip from:
What is it?
A nice way to work on language skills with your children while playing on the beach.
For who is it?
Children from age of 2 years, their parents and/or older brothers & sisters.
What can we do?
During a day at the beach you can make use of the various objects and specifics in your surroundings as useful tools to practice the language. Letters, words and names can be written in the sand. Let your child write his own name in the sand with a stick. Or just only words starting with the –z (in Dutch: zee, zand, zon, zester) or –s (schelp, strand, steen) Let your child make simple calculations with shells. (3 shells + 2 = ?? shells). Look around you. Where do you see letters/words? (EHBO, ijs, restaurant, snacks, WC)
