What is it?
Reading and writing jokes is a great way to read more. It also helps beginners to develop their vocabulary and reading comprehension. Short and simple stories with a clear subject appeal to children of this age. Your child will have fun while reading jokes and he/she will enjoy telling them to others.
For who is it?
For children in class 3 and 4, their parents and/or older brothers and sisters.
What can we do?
Ask your child which jokes he/she already knows or has heard. After he/she has thought of a joke, you can tell one of your own. Then you can both write them down in a notebook specially dedicated to jokes, even adding a drawing or doodle if you like. Other family members can participate as well, that way the notebook becomes even more interesting. Hang the notebook in toilet room, that way it can be read time and time again.
