What is it?
Use the last letter of a word as the first letter of a new word to create a ‘Wordsnake’ and practice vocabulary together.
Making long wordsnakes is rather addictive – you will find that once you start, you and your child(ren) won’t want to stop making them together!
For who is it?
Children from group 3, their parents and / or older brothers and sisters.
What can we do?
This is how it works: take a word that you encounter in everyday life and make another word with it. For example, KINDERGARTEN – NAME – ELEPHANT – TOMATO, etc. If you like you can choose to come up with words within a specific theme, for example: SCHOOL – NATURE – FOOD, etc.
You can make a wordsnake on paper with your child, but it can also be done only verbally while on the train, in the car, or even while bike riding. In that case name something your child can see around them as the first word (railway, police, traffic light).
