What is it?
A daily exercise to develop your child’s vocabulary.
For who is it?
For parents of children from the age of 5.
What can we do?
Go shopping with your child! Writing your shopping list together beforehand is a nice and useful task for learning vocabulary. Let your son or daughter write the shopping list and check the spelling afterwards. This way you add and reinforce new words to his/her vocabulary in a fun way and at the same time teach them about your family’s daily/weekly shopping needs.
Here is a good idea to share with your child’s teacher: ask all the children to take their favorite dish from home. What is the favorite dish of each pupil and what do you need to prepare it? Let the children write the recipe with their parents at home, afterwards you can collect them to make a fun ‘Class Cook Book’.
